OpenClaw

OpenClaw can add Scrollhound as a remote MCP server, or use the CLI with the Scrollhound skill. Once it’s connected, OpenClaw can read Reddit, X, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn and Hacker News in full and quote what it read, with a link on every quote. Scrollhound only reads: it never posts, likes or follows.

openclaw mcp set scrollhound '{"url":"https://api.scrollhound.com/mcp","transport":"streamable-http","auth":"oauth"}'
openclaw mcp login scrollhound

Or, with a token, in ~/.openclaw/openclaw.json under mcp.servers:

"scrollhound": {
"url": "https://api.scrollhound.com/mcp",
"transport": "streamable-http",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer <token>" }
}
npm i -g scrollhound
scrollhound login
scrollhound skill install --openclaw

When OpenClaw asks you to sign in, your browser opens: enter your email and the one-time code we send you, then approve the consent page. New here? The same code creates your account, with 100 free reads and no card.

To use a token instead: to get your token, run scrollhound login on your computer and copy the token value from ~/.config/scrollhound/config.json (see Log in). Treat it like a password: it lasts a year, and you can revoke it from your account page.

Paste a link or ask a research question and say to use Scrollhound:

Use Scrollhound to read this thread in full and summarise the main arguments: <paste an X or Reddit link>

Every answer quotes the posts it read, with a link on each. How results are laid out: Output format.
