Terminal window
scrollhound login

The CLI shows a short code and opens api.scrollhound.com/device in your browser.

  1. Sign in with your invited email address. You’ll get a one-time code by email.
  2. Check that the code on the page matches the one in your terminal, then choose Approve.
  3. The terminal says Logged in as you@example.com.

The token is saved in ~/.config/scrollhound/config.json (or $XDG_CONFIG_HOME/scrollhound/), readable only by you. It lasts a year, and you can revoke it from the account page.

On a machine without a browser (SSH, containers), print the link instead and open it anywhere:

Terminal window
scrollhound login --no-browser
Terminal window
scrollhound whoami # who you're signed in as
scrollhound logout # revoke this machine's token and forget it

For scripts and CI, set SCROLLHOUND_TOKEN to override the saved token.
