ig

To read one Instagram post or Reel with its stats and transcript, pass its link to read (add --comments for its comments) or to transcript for the words alone. Photo and carousel posts have no transcript.

scrollhound ig search <query> [--within week|month|year] [--cursor <cursor>]

Reels matching a keyword, with views, likes, comments and the caption, 10 a page. --within keeps only Reels from the last week, month or year.

scrollhound ig search "social media tips" --within month
scrollhound ig user <handle>

A profile: followers, following, post count, bio and link. Takes @handle, a handle or a profile URL.

scrollhound ig user @hubspot
scrollhound ig posts <handle> [--limit <n>] [--cursor <cursor>]

An account’s recent posts and Reels with plays, likes, comments and captions (default 12, max 36). Carousels and photos are labelled, and have likes and comments but no plays. Pinned posts come first, as on the profile.

scrollhound ig posts @hubspot --limit 36
scrollhound ig post <post> [--comments <n>] [--cursor <cursor>]

The same as read with an Instagram link: the post’s stats, caption and, for a Reel, the full transcript, plus up to 60 comments with --comments. Takes /p/… and /reel/… links.

scrollhound ig post https://www.instagram.com/reel/C0000000000/ --comments 30
scrollhound ig comments <post> [--limit <n>] [--cursor <cursor>]

A post’s comments, newest first (Instagram doesn’t offer another order), with likes, the date and how many replies each has. Default 20, max 60 a page; follow the next: line for more.

Over MCP the tools are ig_search, ig_get_user, ig_get_user_posts and ig_get_comments; a single post is read with read_url or get_transcript.
