Short-form video teardown

List a creator's recent TikToks or Reels with plays, read the most played transcripts, and break down the hook, structure, length and call to action.

The jobShow me why a creator's best TikToks or Reels work, from what they actually say.

Step 1

The prompt

In ClaudePick Short-form video teardown from Scrollhound's prompts in the + menu and fill in the blanks.

In ChatGPTCopy the prompt, replace the parts in angle brackets, and send it with Scrollhound turned on.

Prompt
Use Scrollhound to list the recent videos of <creator> on <platform> with their plays: the last 30 TikToks, or the last 36 Instagram posts (Reels only). Skip pinned videos at the top of the profile, which are often years old, and pick the <videos> most played from the last 30 days. Read their full transcripts.

For each one: the plays, the length, the first sentence word for word, the hook type (question, bold claim, number, story, contrarian, how-to), how the rest is structured, and the call to action in the video or caption. Then compare them with the creator's typical video (give the median plays of the videos you saw): what the top videos share in topic, hook, length and format, and three video ideas this suggests for me.

Quote people's exact words, put the link after every quote, and say how many posts, comments or videos you actually read. Don't invent quotes or numbers; if the sources don't support a point, say so.

    Example: @garyvee

Step 3

What comes back: a real run

Real run · 27 Oct 2026creator: @garyveeplatform: tiktokvideos: 3

What it read: GaryVee's last 30 TikToks (27 posted 20 to 27 Oct 2026, median 11.2K plays; 3 older pinned ones skipped) and the transcripts of the 3 most played.

VideoPlaysOpening line
"Once you master this"351K"Go hit on the hottest girl on earth for the next year."
"you're about to become more creative than ever"260K"Do you know, every morning at 7:30 in the morning, I get a text from my Openclaw that tells me the top 15 selling items on TikTok?"
"An astonishing era is upon us"103K"if I was 16 years old I would completely pot committed learn every single thing about…"

Hooks: a bold dare, a question and an "if I were you", each starting mid-conversation with no introduction.

What the top three share: two of the three are about using AI tools; all run under 70 seconds (0:38, 1:07, 0:34); and they drew 9 to 31 times the median. The captions carry the call to action: "Please share this with someone in your inner circle" and "Don't know where to start? Ask ChatGPT or Gemini or grok".
