LinkedIn teardown

List a company's or creator's last 10 LinkedIn posts with likes and comments, break down the best ones, and read the company's ads in LinkedIn's Ad Library.

The jobShow me what a company or creator posts on LinkedIn, which posts land, and the ads they run.

Step 1

The prompt

In ClaudePick LinkedIn teardown from Scrollhound's prompts in the + menu and fill in the blanks.

In ChatGPTCopy the prompt, replace the parts in angle brackets, and send it with Scrollhound turned on.

Prompt
Use Scrollhound to list the last 10 LinkedIn posts of <account> with stats, so each has its likes and comment count. Give the median likes, then break down the three posts with the most likes: the first line word for word, the format (text, images, document or video), the topic and the call to action. Say what the top posts share and how they differ from the typical post.

If <account> is a company, also search LinkedIn's Ad Library for its ads from the last 30 days: how many there are, the formats and buttons they use, the headlines and messages that repeat, and quote two ads with their links.

End with three post ideas for me, based on what you found.

Quote people's exact words, put the link after every quote, and say how many posts, comments or videos you actually read. Don't invent quotes or numbers; if the sources don't support a point, say so.

What you fill in

  • <account>Required

A LinkedIn company or person: company/<name>, in/<name> or the page URL.

    Example: company/canva

Step 3

What comes back: a real run

Real run · 27 Oct 2026account: company/canva

What it read: Canva's last 10 LinkedIn posts (13 to 27 Oct 2026, median 118 likes) with their likes and comments, and the 24 newest of its ads from the last 30 days in the Ad Library.

PostLikes · commentsOpening line
Canva Craft (video)781 · 32"Introducing Canva Craft 🎨"
Cut Through (images)157 · 16"👀 Think your brand is cutting through? The data tells a different story."
Presentation reactions (video)151 · 10"“Sending over a quick pre-read ahead of the meeting...” But how many pages is too many pages? 👀"

What the top posts share: a product launch drew 6.6 times the median; the next two open on a work frustration and tease with 👀. Four of the ten tie into Canva's own series (#DesignSchool, #CanvaWorldTour).

Ads: the feed is consumer, the ads are enterprise and education. Of the 24 newest, 15 are single-image and 9 video, and 19 use a "Learn more" button. Headlines repeat: "Run enterprise campaigns without extra tools" (6 ads) and "Empower your team to design with Canva Campus" (5), each Campus ad naming a different university: "Appalachian State University's creative team can't be everywhere at once."

Questions

What does the LinkedIn teardown recipe need?

Scrollhound added to Claude or ChatGPT as a connector, and a linkedin company or person: company/<name>, in/<name> or the page url. It reads LinkedIn.

Does it make things up?

The prompt tells the AI to quote people's exact words with a link after each quote, to say how much it read, and not to invent quotes or numbers. Every quote links to its source, so you can check it.

Does it post anything?

No. Scrollhound only reads. It never posts, likes, follows or asks for your social logins.
