Short answer
Connect your X account to Scrollhound once (read-only, through X's own sign-in), and Claude or ChatGPT can search and list your bookmarks: 'find what I saved about pricing and turn it into a checklist'. Your 200 newest bookmarks import in a minute or two, new ones sync every hour, and searching them is free.

Bookmarking on X is easy; finding the post again is not. You saved a thread about pricing pages three months ago, and now you need it. X’s own bookmarks page is built for scrolling: third-party guides report a basic keyword search on the web and iOS, and folders need X Premium. Neither turns two hundred saved posts into something you can use.
With your bookmarks in Claude or ChatGPT, you ask for what you need in plain words, and the assistant does something with it.
What you can ask
Find what I bookmarked about pricing and turn it into a checklist, with a link to each post. What did I save about hooks and openings? Group the posts by technique and quote the best exampleof each.List my 20 most recent bookmarks and tell me which three are worth acting on this week. Each bookmark comes back with its author, when it was posted, its engagement counts where X provides them, the full text and its link, so the assistant can quote it exactly and you can open the original.
How the search works
Scrollhound keeps your bookmarks in a private, searchable index. A search matches the post’s text, any quoted post’s text and the author’s handle, and every word must match, so “pricing page” finds posts containing both words. When you ask about a topic, the assistant can run a few searches with different words and read the results together.
Listing and searching your stored bookmarks is free. Each new bookmark synced from X uses 1 credit. The number of X accounts that can connect is limited for now; if it’s full, the account page says so.
Privacy, in short
- Connecting uses X’s own sign-in and read-only permissions (
tweet.read,users.read,bookmark.read,offline.access). Scrollhound never sees your password. - Your bookmarks are visible only to you, through your own sign-in.
- Posts that are deleted or protected on X are removed daily.
- Disconnect and delete on the account page removes the tokens and every stored bookmark.

Questions
Can Scrollhound post or change anything on my X account?
No. It asks X only for read access: reading posts, your profile and your bookmarks. It can't post, like, follow, delete or message.
How many bookmarks does it import?
Your 200 newest when you connect, then new ones every hour. You can re-import up to your 800 newest with scrollhound bookmarks sync --full from the command line.
What happens to bookmarks I delete on X?
Once a day, bookmarks that were deleted or edited on X, or whose author's account became protected or suspended, are removed from Scrollhound, as X requires.
How do I disconnect?
Use Disconnect and delete on the account page. It revokes access at X and deletes the stored tokens and every stored bookmark.
